RESPITE SERVICES

LoveJoy Community Services' respite program is designed to provide caregivers with relief from their time consuming responsibilities. We provide overnight respite care where your loved one/client can stay in our Semi-Independent Living facility.

Our respite services are also available on weekends and holidays (holiday rates may be different from rates quoted above, please speak with the Accounting Manager to confirm).

• Prompting or hands-on assistance with personal care task (also known as activities of daily living).
• Supervision and monitoring by trained staff
• Medication administration
• Three meals a day and snacks (will recognize special diets)

Rates are based on Level of Care needed by each individual resident. The level of care is determined by how many personal care tasks (or activities of daily living) the resident needs assistance completing and by the amount of supervision required.
There are 6 defined activities of daily living (ADLs). These are:
(1) Bathing; (2) Dressing; (3) Toileting; (4) Transferring; (5) Continence; and (6) Feeding.

Our Level I rate is $115/night. This rate applies to a resident who can walk and needs only prompting to do personal care tasks/ADLs. General monitoring is provided.

Our Level II rate is $135/night. This rate applies to a resident who needs assistance with two ADLs and/or also needs assistance with medication administration. General monitoring is provided.

Our Level III rate is $155/night. This rate applies to a resident who needs assistance with 3 or more ADLs and/or needs additional monitoring to prevent elopement.

Check-in is from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Checked-Out is no later than 12:00 pm. Check-outs that occur after 12:00 pm will incur a charge of $20/hour thereafter (billed in 30 minute increments).
